BAF Graphics were invited by fit-out contractors ISG to develop a graphics package and tender on the environmental graphics for this prestigious design-rich project.
Following the design concept created by TP Bennett, BAF sourced suitable imagery, retouching them to better complement the client's brand livery, while other designs were created from scratch to complement the overall scheme. In addition to the artworks, comprehensive visualisations of all the elevations were produced to provide a better understanding of how we had interpreted the design requirements across wall and glazed surfaces.
Once we had conducted a thorough survey, full size samples of wallcovering and glass manifestations were produced and installed to provide the client with a more comprehensive look and feel for both designs and quality of the graphics solutions proposed. Upon approval production and installation commenced.
The Cell Therapy Catapult provided an excellent theme from which to create an inspiring environmental graphics scheme in this hugely important workspace environment. The organisation is a new and important centre of excellence in cell therapy, focused on turning exciting science into treatments for patients. As the go-to place for cell therapy in the UK, it wanted a memorable visual feel, strong enough to compete with the stunning views of London from the 12th floor facility. The graphics needed to reflect its focus on innovation, science and the excitement surrounding its work, as well as providing a link between the laboratory and office areas. Finally, the colours needed to be consistent with the Cell Therapy Catapult branding.
Eye-catching oversized cellular imagery was interpreted into wallcovering for corridors and feature walls, while other wall surfaces were decorated with complementary graduated spherical effects, both printed and cut vinyl, which extended across glass partitioned areas.
This most fitting project took five months from graphic design to installation. With two months allocated to design and one month for production and installation, it put into practice the full breadth of BAF creativity and production know-how.
Colour profiling was achieved using BAF’s GMG 4D Colour Management technology, while digitally printed wallcoverings were produced on BAF SwissQprint Nyala onto Digimura.
