As rugby enthusiasts you can imagine our delight at being appointed for the refurbishment of the World Rugby Museum at Twickenham. With the grand opening in October visitors and enthusiasts are sure to be impressed by this highly visual and compelling exhibition.
From the projects inception, designers ‘Imaginate’ worked with BAF on concepts and ideas as full the entire creative team was assembled. ‘At Large’ provided the exhibition design and ‘Paragon Creative’, the interactive and fit-out.
With a deep routed experience in museum display, BAF played an integral part in the specification, materials and the production of the graphics themselves.
Externally, visitors are greeted by a 6mtr x 5mtr printed Dibond image of the Calcutta Cup. While internally an impressive welcome is provided by a wallcovering that captures the true grit of the game.
Printed foamex panels clad walls from floor to ceiling and around AV monitors and wrap mounted HP prints are also wall mounted on split battens at the entrance and within each zone. While reverse printed acrylic panels are incorporated into the ‘Speed’, ‘Agility’, ‘Power’ and ‘Strength’ interactive displays.
Lightbox signage indicate each zone and cut vinyl graphics provide the way-finding throughout the exhibition.
A truly impressive accompaniment of imagery and graphics brought together by a first-class team. A ‘must visit’ for any rugby enthusiast.
